Frequently Asked Questions

What is your medical background?

Dr. Frank Cioppettini MD is a board certified family physician. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University before enrolling at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency in family medicine with a focus on global health at Anmed in Anderson, South Carolina. He has been practicing medicine since 2013 and has been involved with medical outreach programs in Nepal, China, Haiti, and West Africa.

How are your rates so much lower than other practices?

Our core values are simplicity, transparency, and efficiency. We've removed everything that distracts from the direct physician-patient relationship. We offer labs, tests, and procedures to our members near our wholesale cost. We are not interested in making more money when people are sick, we want you to be healthy and our pricing reflects that. By being upfront with costs we are able to spend more time focusing on patient care than other practices.

Do you accept my insurance?

We only accept cash, credit and debit cards for payment. All payments are collected upfront before services are rendered. If you do have an insurance carrier that is not Medicaid or Medicare you might be able to be reimbursed for the cost of our services. Contact your insurance provider directly for more details on what your policy covers. Many patients find that even without their insurance our costs are less than what their copays would be with their current coverage.

Do you accept patients with Medicaid or Medicare?

We do accept patients covered by Medicaid and Medicare into our practice. However, by joining the practice you will enter into a private contract that states that neither we nor you will bill Medicaid or Medicare for services rendered.

If I have insurance can I still use it for other services like labs, X-rays or prescriptions?

Absolutely! If you are covered you can still use your own insurance for all services not rendered by us or request that certain services like laboratory testing be done by a third party that can charge your insurance instead of paying out of pocket.

Can I learn more about the practice before joining?

We are happy to schedule a free meet and greet to answer any questions you may have about the practice. We understand the importance of the doctor-patient relationship, and part of that experience is ensuring that our services meet your needs. You can schedule a visit by calling (864) 932-3071, by emailing contact@callmemd.com or by filling out the contact form here
